The Bow
When entering the do-jang (school), students bow to the flag and to the highest rank present.
Students then bow to any black-belts present, and greet the black-belts by their formal name
(Mr., Mrs., Ms. or sir or ma'am).
The bow, the Asian handshake , is used as a sign of respect when greeting
the flags, fellow students, and instructors.
The Workout Floor
Out of respect for the school and for the art of Tae Kwon Do, no shoes are allowed on the workout floor.
Before entering the classroom area, take off your shoes and put them neatly in the shoe area.
This also keeps the floor clean for those who workout, kicking and exercising, in bare feet.
